The calendar will keep you up to date with when your next domain renewal is due, but also let you check on all your domain names in just a few clicks.

Most of the time you won’t need to worry about contacting us to make payment, as new domain name registrations are set up to auto renew, which means that we will renew your registration before the end of the contract period for the same length of time. However, if you don’t want your domain name auto renewed or you want it renewed for a different length of time, that can be easily done in your renewal calendar.

Notification Emails

Whether you stick with auto renew or choose to manually renew your domain, we will send you a reminder e-mail 21 days before your domain name is due to expire. If you have auto renew we will let you know that that you can sit back, relax and wait for your auto renewal to go through, or if you have manual renewal we will advise you on the quickest and easiest method of payment. We will also let you know if there are any problems, for example if your credit card details are out of date. It is really important that you update your contact details in your control panel, so that you don’t miss any of these important emails.

Don’t forget! How to renew your Domain Name.

Log onto your online control panel and go to your Renewal Calendar. Click the domain name to check it’s auto renewal settings. If a price and date is displayed you’re all set for auto renewal! If you would like to change the settings just click on the drop down box. It’s as easy as that!

Is a Domain Name mine for life?

When you register a domain name it is usually registered for an initial period of either 1 or 2 years. At UK2 we operate an auto renewal policy designed to ensure continuity of service, which means that at the end of the initial registration period we will notify you with details of your auto renewal for a further registration period. However, if you no longer need the domain name you can, of course, cancel. When you register a domain name you register and pay for an initial period of either 1 or 2 years and then once this period has come to an end you then need to renew the domain name by paying for it again for 1 or 2 years.

How much does renewing a Domain Name cost?

With auto renewal your Domain Name will be re-registered for the same length of time as your initial order. However, you can choose to extend the period if you wish, you just simply go to your renewal calendar, click on the domain name and change the duration. Don’t forget to click “Update auto renew settings”.
