Hi all,
I finally found some time to read a report on the Domain Name Industry that I had on my desk since before Christmas, and as it had some pretty interesting facts and figures I thought I’d share them with you.
So what does this mean?
Well it’s good news for all of us in the domain name business to hear that there was significant growth in the base from 2007 to 2008, but in line with what’s happening in other industries the decline in Q3 performance compared to Q2 is somewhat expected. The question is how much was down to seasonality and how much was down to financial uncertainty. It will be interesting to see the results for Q4 2008 and more importantly Q1 2009, to see what lies ahead.
Watch this space …
So if reading about domain names has given you the urge to make another registration, let me blatantly plug UK2’s great .co.uk and .com for £10 Offer! Don’t delay it might not be around for much longer!
Anyway, I hope January is treating you well so far.
Bye for now,
Nicola
