2012 British Grand Prix

UK2 Takes Guest to British F1

July 10th, 2012 by

Through our partnership with the Marussia F1 Team we were lucky enough to be invited down to the British Grand Prix. It had been a touch week for the team, with Maria’s accident, and the team had to pull together to ensure they remained competitive for race weekend. They were completely professional and were motivated on both mornings by news that Maria was making a good recovery.

Most of the F1 drivers, teams and news presenters showed amazing support for Maria, by sporting her star logo on their gear including helmets, race suits and camera’s. The team did her proud and produced a strong finish with both cars crossing the line in P18 & P19.

The Marussia F1 Team  hosted us at Stowe School, which is about 4 miles away from the track, and treated us to some behind the scenes action too. Some of us were lucky enough to get into the pit lane to see the Marussia F1 Team’s mechanics and race engineers preparing the drivers, Timo & Charles, for the race, plus we mingled with celebrities, famous drivers and sports stars alike.

We also ran Business Hosting, VPN and Dedicated Server promotions over May and June and were offering a total of 12 tickets to both the Saturday and Sunday sessions at Silverstone. Here are the winners:

Business Hosting Winner Mike Sweet
Business Hosting Runner Up Ruth Arthur
VPN Winner Simon Waldron
VPN Runner Up James Pearce
Server Winner David Bruce
Server Runner Up Roisin Oliver
