    How to change WHOIS Information


    What is WHOIS?

    The governing body over domains, an organisation called ICANN, requires valid contact information listed for every domain name. This information is usually referred to as WHOIS information.


    How to change WHOIS Information:

    Step One: Navigate to the WHOIS Section of CHI
    1. Log into your CHI account at  chi.uk2.net .

    2. Click on the tab marked “Domains” located in the menu on the left side of your screen.



    3. Select your domain from the options on the left and then click the “WHOIS” widget.



    Step Two: Edit the Contact Information
    1. Make all of the necessary edits to your information.

    2. Check the permission box to allow UK2 to make changes to your registrant information. For full terms and conditions, click  here .

    3. Click “Save Changes” to complete this process.

    You can edit three different types of contact information within your CHI account: the Registrant, Admin and Tech contact information. If you manage the domain yourself, you can simply click the “Copy Data from Registrant Contact” button to share the information to each section.
