Domain Transfers

Come on in, the water's lovely

The grass really is greener with UK2, which is why we’ve made it easy to transfer your website address or domain name to us from other companies.

There are different ways to break-up with different companies, but we’ll walk you through each process on this page.

If you can’t find your current provider on our list, call our sales team on 0800 612 2142, who will talk you through your own transfer process.

  2. Make a note of the authorisation code that’s given to you and select that you want it to be sent to the administrator of the domain (via email).
  3. If you have Protected Registration or DBP Private Registration with GoDaddy, you will need to cancel this if you want to transfer your domain away from them. To do this, you’ll need to submit the request form entitled 'Protected Registration Cancellation', which is available on the GoDaddy site.
  4. Next, you need to start the transfer process on the UK2 website. Click on the Domain Names tab on the homepage, select Domain Transfers from the drop-down menu, then enter the domain you want to transfer in the transfer box and hit the Transfer button.

If 'Host' appears next to the domain you want to transfer to us, please make sure it has been released from the provider, or wait for the 60 day period to expire. If you are still unable to transfer, you’ll need to get in touch with your provider to find out why it has not been released.

  6. Log-in if you’re already a UK2.net customer, or create an account if you’re new. Then proceed with payment.
  7. The final step is to raise a ticket - aka a job - with the technical support team. You’ll need to give them the authorisation code that GoDaddy gave you at the start of the process. It shouldn’t take any longer than 48 hours to get a response.
