How to configure Email Addresses created within cPanel

This article will show you how to configure email addresses created via cPanel in an email client.

**If you have created your e-mail within the UK2 Dashboard account please see this article to do this:

  1. Log into your cPanel account at yourdomain.com/cpanel (You will need to replace yourdomain.com with the domain attached to the hosting account.)
  2. Click on the ‘Email Accounts’ icon that looks like a sealed envelope
  3. Click on the ‘More’ button to the right of the email address you would like to configure
  4. Click on ‘Configure Email Client’

The following page will display the correct settings that need to be entered into mail clients such as Microsoft Oulook and mobile phones. These settings are listed at the bottom of the page under the ‘Manual Settings’ heading.

In the center of the screen you will find links to download automatic configuration files for the displayed email clients. The meanings of POP3 and IMAP connections are explained above these links.

The SSL options contain the port numbers used for email transmission via a secure socket layer (SSL) connection for additional security.

If you encounter any errors or problems with this process, please contact our Technical Support Department. They will be happy to help resolve any issues encountered.
